Nature’s Classroom is aimed at teaching staff who are already looking to work with children outdoors. Its aim is to use outdoor experiences to produce:-
- successful learners
- responsible citizens
- confident individuals
- effective contributors
Nature's Classroom is primarily aimed at those who would like to or who already work with children outdoors. The training can be provided in the inspirational grounds of The Ecology Centre by Kinghorn Loch or at a host venue. It involves a motivational presentation, practical outdoor activities and group discussion.
Learning Outcomes: At the end of the session participants will have:
- a greater understanding of why direct experience of the natural world is important to children.
- learned how to use the environment for sensory development and other curriculum topics.
- gained ideas for developing school grounds and Eco Schools status.
