About the event
The Restoration Forth team are reaching the end of the seagrass processing phase of operations and will be hosting their final seagrass sorting session of the year. Atendees will have the opportunity to visit the Ecology Centre where the Seagrass Processing Unit is kept, which is where all our seagrass has been processed. Over the course of the day attendees will be able to further their knowledge of seagrass maintenance and processing. Afterwards, atendees will be able to get hands on with seagrass seed sorting. This theraputic task is vital for the restoration of seagrass here in the Firth of Forth, as the seeds sorted during this event will be planted in the Forth in the spring of 2023.
Members of the Restoration Forth team will be in attendance and will be sorting away beside you, so if you are eager to find out more about the project or to ask any seagrass questions, they will be there to inform you on all things related to seagrass.
For any community members or interested persons whom have yet to attend one of our previous events, this is the last opportunity this year to get involved, so make sure to book your place in advance in order to secure your slot. This event is a free to attend event, however, the Ecology Centre is kindly accepting donations.
