Site and Garden volunteer

About the Role

The Ecology Centre are an ecological charity based at Kinghorn Loch.

We are always looking for volunteers to help out around the site. We offer various different roles which are easily tailored to fit most physical capabilities.

You could be working around the site repairing paths, planting trees, preparing beds and helping our staff team keep on top of the weeds, whilst also tackling the main project that come about each season

We also have a fantastic market garden with 2 polytunnels which requires constant weeding, watering, sowing and harvesting throughout the year.

We also do lots of conservation work around the site, including site surveys and habitat preservation.

This year we will be looking at raising 1000's of plants to use around the site and in our market garden, whilst also making some available to local community groups.

Our Wednesday volunteering session includes a free shared lunch with the majority of the produce coming from our market garden. We also share a lot of the produce we harvest with our volunteers through our community fridge
